An adaptation of a traditional tale told by the Efik people of southeastern Nigeria about why the sun and the moon live in the sky.

Allyssa says: I discovered the story of Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky by Elphinstone Dayrell many years ago. The book has beautiful, but simple illustrations, which allows your mind to fill in the rest, just as you do when reading aloud the story. I love how many water animals kids like to add to the list of the 'water people'. And ultimately it is a story of friendship and the things we will do to welcome our friends.
